Beam It Up

Once they have the new beam in place they can remove the temporary braces. You can see that they are still using a pipe jack in the middle of the beam. See that hole in the floor under the end of the beam? Underneath the house they have dug a deep hole and are pouring a 24" footing that will support a post that will take the load at the end of the beam.
