Glasgow, Montana

The plains of Western Montana go on forever. The horizon is ever in the distance and it seems you can never reach it. And that is traveling in an automobile at 70 mph. Imagine how it must have been for the pioneers. Endless weeks of walking behind a covered wagon. You are tempted to wonder how many of the decided to settle in a specific spot simply because they were weary of the travel & "this place seemed good enough." Lemon Custard Sunrise

Driving across Montana you get to experience a beautiful vastness. Standing on the edge of this ball. At night you feel you can reach up & grab a couple of stars & plop them in your coffee to keep it warm.

California's Lost Coast
May 07, 2016
There is an area of California known as the Lost Coast. Somewhere north of Fort Bragg, south of Ferndale and west of highway 101. There are a few ways to get there but fewer people who will tell you how. Some places you can drive to, much of it is accessable only by foot if at all. It is one of the remaining places that Sasquatch can run free.

Rapid City, South Dakota is an interesting town. While they advertise themselves as the Gateway to the Black hills and Mount Rushmore, they strive to have enough attiactions in the town itself to keep you lingering there for a few days.

When I reached Grand Forks, North Dakota the previous day I was impressed with the number of creative, old signs they had about. I was also impressed with the price of gas.
