Les Barricades Mystérieuses

The Mysterious Barricades... What might François Couperin have been referring to when he titled this one? Somehow I don't think he was referring to those metal things that appear along the sidewalk the night before there is a parade. It is a rather addictive little tune... I like it so much that I also < href='http://TheYodel.com/pages/1brpxw2x/Les-Baricades-Misterieuses.php'>arranged it for a wind ensemble. (I kinda like that version better but then I got to mess around with it more)
