Gravity Wave

Gravity Wave

I wrote this one while in San Francisco... Nice little town, I love it here. Winters are particularly nice... then again Autumn & Spring are pretty good too. So I wrote this song. I wanted to get away from the slow stuff I have been fooling around with and I wanted to avoid one of the odd time signatures I seem to be drawn to. So I stuck with an eight, counted 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2, giving it a bit of a lilt. I had to throw in a extra beats now and them when the phrasing insisted.... I just try to do as I am told.

The main premise came to me during a late night walk, everything else pretty much shuffled right up along as I came to it... well maybe shuffle isn't the right word. It's a pretty good walking song, but it keeps a pace.

The Title? Well, I finished this the week after they announced they detected Gravity Waves from the merging of two black holes .75 to 1.8 billion light years away. (and so long ago...) And that's pretty cool science!

Here are a few ways for you to listen free.
Please add it to one of your playlists.
Even better, buy a copy.
