Gerluz Plays Claude Debussy

Gerluz plays Debussy Covers

Gerluz plays Debussy. After all, everybody loves Claude Debussy. It also gave me a chance to play around with Art Nouveau stylings with the cover art. The vines continue to the back and inside panels of the CD cover. If the CD is in the correct position, the vines seem to twine into and over the CD. Fun with Adobe Illustrator indeed.

Copies of the CD are available from me directly. When it was first published in 2010, Amazon & others were not using the UTF-8 character set and the u with an umlaut (ü) in Gerlüz would not render correctly and I realized most Americans don't know how to type a ü anyhow. Mister Gerlüz was not getting any search traffic. So I killed it and re-released it as Gerluz without the ü. Of course if I wanted any of the distributors to carry it the CD would have to be reprinted without the ü and a new UPC. ah well.

In this album you will discover one of the slowest versions of Passapied around. Passapied is such a strange and beautiful flower of a tune, I don't know why so many pianists rush through it so... I think with a careful rendering it could probably stand an even slower tempo.

Here come the fun part... This album is available an nearly every flavor of music streaming service. So, by all means, add this album to your collection because otherwise you will be missing out and you don't want to miss out.

Ah, Teddy's Tango... Exciting, dynamic... People seem to like it.... and you an dance to it! There is a softer interlude in the middle where you can make closer passes with your partner. Like all Tangos this one entangles the passion, romance and mixed messages that are love.
