Flagler Alcazar Hotel

Across the street from His amazing Ponce de Leon hotel, Henry Flagler built the less-imposing Alcazar hotel. While the Ponce de Leon was designed to cater to America's super-wealthy of the Victorian age, the Alcazar was more affordable and slanted toward the merely rich. It boasted the largest indoor swimming pool of the time. This picture is of one of the front towers. You can see how the use of terra-cotta trim makes the building so distinctive.
